John developed a multi-dimensional Driver and Traffic Safety Company focused on “Train-the-Trainer” programs for the Driver Education industry. John was awarded one of only a few Master Instructor Licenses issued by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. He holds a Bachelor of Education Degree and served with the Toronto District School Board for 32 years. John’s vision to improve driver training through personal assessment is what defines Canadian Pro Drivers.

Established in 1967 and incorporated in 1995, CPD began as a consulting company to the commercial driving industry. With the help of President Manny Sousa and CFO Teddy Kellen, CPD began working with Ontario colleges, taking over instructor training for Humber, Centennial and Fanshawe Colleges. The Ministry of Transportation called on CPD to train their Examiner Trainers, and CPD responded by developing the life-saving Prevention and Intervention Training Course that all examiners must now take. Canadian Pro Drivers Inc. is the official driver training company for Bell and Rogers divisions across Canada, Expertech, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Children’s Aid Society, Premier Haulaway, Chrysler, the Ministry of Labour, and many other government and corporate clients. The fact that we have been with these companies for so many years is a testament to our ability to grow with our customers, responding quickly to their needs.

Canadian Pro Drivers will embed safety into your drivers by providing them with a new mental understanding of the driving task as well as enhance their practical skills, allowing them to change their driving behaviour and mitigate their risk for collisions while driving. Our trainers are all Ministry of Transportation Certified Driving Instructors with many years of experience in all classes of vehicles.
